Analysis of China's plastic plasticizer Market (Part 1)
I. China's plasticizer market is facing environmental pressure. Plasticizer is one of the plastic additives with the largest output and consumption in the world
in recent years, China has become the country with the largest production and consumption of plasticizers in Asia. With the improvement of environmental protection awareness around the world, plastic products such as medicine and food packaging, daily necessities, toys and so on have put forward higher purity and health requirements for the main plasticizer DOP, but at present, the main plasticizer produced by domestic enterprises is difficult to meet the requirements of environmental protection in many properties, especially in sanitation and low toxicity. The European Union and Russia have successively found toxic polyvinyl chloride plasticized N-Diisopropyl phthalate (DINP) and diethylhexyl phthalate in some plastic toys originating in China imported from China (DEHP, or DOP.
plasticizers have long been mainly ortho benzene products, but as DOP is more and more widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industry, people pay more and more attention to its toxicity. It was found that when people input the blood stored in PVC plastic bags, DOP products were found in the human body, especially in the lungs. In 1982, the authoritative National Cancer Institute of the United States studied the carcinogenicity of DOP Biological identification, the conclusion is: DOP is a carcinogen of rats and mice, which can cause cancer in the liver of rodents. Therefore, the toxicity of DOP has attracted global attention. Although the argument about whether it will cause human cancer is still controversial, due to its potential cancer suspicion, all countries have taken corresponding measures. According to the research results of the National Cancer Institute, the US Environmental Protection Administration has stopped the production of six new phthalate esters. DOP is only used in food packaging with high water content, and meat packaging must be replaced by other non-toxic plasticizer products; The Swiss government has decided to prohibit the use of DOP in research and development entities that strengthen the technical support and guarantee of national major strategic tasks and key projects in children's toys: Germany prohibits the use of DOP in all plastic products related to human health and food; Japan prohibits the use of DOP in products related to medical devices, which is limited to industrial plastic products
according to the research results and standards issued by Europe, America, Japan and South Korea, DOP (DEHP) is more harmful than DOA (DEHA). For example, the European Food Safety Agency EFSA stipulates that DEHA concentration of more than 0.3 mg/kg in human body is considered unsafe, while DEHP concentration of more than 0.05 mg/kg is considered unsafe. DOA and DOP are plasticizers widely used in domestic PVC food preservative films. In particular, DOP is the plasticizer with the largest dosage, and it is widely used in food packaging products. Among the ten main plasticizers allowed to be used in PVC fresh-keeping films in China, the first is dioctyl adipate (DEHA, for short), and the next three are phthalate esters DBP, DOP and Diop, which are relatively toxic to DEHA. Due to the high production cost of DOA, most domestic PVC fresh-keeping film manufacturers use DOP and DBP as the main plasticizers. The fresh-keeping films produced in this way are especially used in meat products with high fat content, Or when it is used to wrap food and heated in the microwave oven, its plasticizer will have more opportunities to migrate into the wrapped food, causing potential harm to human health. 4. Repeated loading and unloading of Hekang by durometer. However, it is relatively safe to use it on vegetables, especially on varieties that need to be cleaned before eating or making food
although the international debate on whether DOP causes cancer is still endless, there is a potential cancer risk for DOP, and the international community has begun to take corresponding measures to limit the scope of use of DOP. According to the research results of the National Cancer Institute, the U.S. Environmental Protection Administration has stopped the industrial production of six phthalate lipids; The Swiss government decided to ban DOP in children's toys; Germany has banned the use of DOP in all plastic products related to human body and sanitary food: in Japan, DOP as a plastic additive is only used in factory plastic products. At present, the world has accelerated the research and development of non-toxic plasticizers, especially the basic application research of plastic products with high health requirements. In China, plasticizers such as DOP, which have been eliminated by foreign countries, still have a large market, and plasticizer manufacturers have not paid enough attention to the development and promotion of non-toxic new plasticizers. 80% of plasticizers in the domestic market are DOP, DBP (dibutyl phthalate) and other plasticizers, and low price is the most critical factor. The national standard for additives used in food containers and packaging materials also lists DOP as one of the plasticizers that can be used in food packaging
the latest test results of Tongji University show that when edible oil is packed in plastic barrels, plasticizers harmful to human body will be dissolved in the edible oil. The scientific research team led by Professor Li Shuguang of the school of basic medicine of Tongji University collected the test samples of soybean salad oil, mixed oil and peanut oil in plastic drums of different brands and different ex factory dates on the market, as well as the bulk soybean oil sold on the market, the solid shortening of fried food in a fast food restaurant, and the condensate oil collected by the range hood in the resident kitchen. After determining these samples, the scientific research team found that all brands of plastic barreled edible oil of Erhu contain Di phthalate (DBP) and di octyl phthalate (DOP), which are phthalate plasticizers often used in the plastic industry, while the bulk soybean oil and solid shortening contained in plastic containers do not contain plasticizers. Therefore, it is also an important basic engineering material. The plasticizer detected in edible oil mainly comes from its plastic containers. At present, thousands of families in China eat oil for three meals a day, most of which are plastic barrels of edible oil purchased from the market. However, plasticizers are not included in the physical and chemical indicators of edible oil inspection in the current national standards, and there are no provisions and requirements for the content of plasticizers. Due to the lag of relevant standards in China, this is actually just the tip of the iceberg of plasticizer pollution. Plasticizers are widely used, and the pollution area is large. Use vernier calipers to measure the diameter of the middle and two ends within the limit of the gauge distance of the test piece, and take the minimum value as the calculation of the cross-sectional area of the test piece. The number of people who use plasticizers is more than pesticides, DDT, etc
